With reference to War Office letter 10/1349
12345 (F.1.) of 26th April 1910, I am comanded by the Army
Council to send the enclosed statements (A. and B.)
showing the cost of the garrison of Hong Kong in the
financial year 1909/10 and the military contribution in
respect of that period.
It will be seen that the cost to Imperial
funds was £417,492 in excess of the contribution paid by
the colony. The increased cost as compared with
1908/9 is due to the issue of 9.2 inch guns and mountings.
